Goodwill Northern Michigan is seeking a new Human Resources Manager to continue our work as a trusted community-owned nonprofit working to support regional housing and food stability, as well as workforce development. We’re one of Northern Michigan’s largest nonprofits and employers, and our Human Resources Manager is an extremely perceptive professional who can relate to people at all levels of our large, 250-employee organization. This position is located in the beautiful resort town of Traverse City, Michigan and our programs serve 19 Northern Michigan counties. 

The Human Resources Manager aids with and facilitates human resources, workforce development, safety and compliance functions across the organization including training and development initiatives, employee communications, recruitment and retention efforts, workplace issues, investigations, corrective actions. This role is important to the success of the Goodwill organization and its ability to attract and retain a talented workforce.  

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience. A bachelor’s degree is a must. Experience using HRIS/HCM systems, SHRM-CP credentials and project management experience are preferred. Project management certification is a plus. 

Compensation 

Remuneration for this position is based on experience with a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year. We offer competitive benefits that include a retirement plan with match, group health plan, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
