Goodwill Northern Michigan is seeking a new Fund Development Director to continue our work as a trusted community-owned nonprofit working to support regional housing and food stability, as well as workforce development. We’re one of Northern Michigan’s largest nonprofits and employers, and our Fund Development Director is organized and adaptable with attention to detail, and enjoys people, listening, and sharing stories.

Our Fund Development Director has a passion for the work of Goodwill Northern Michigan and our vision of a community where everyone has access to a safe and secure place to live, the nutritious food they need, and opportunities for empowering employment, so that all of us can thrive. This position is located in the beautiful resort town of Traverse City, Michigan and our programs serve 19 Northern Michigan counties.

The Director of Fund Development will be responsible for leading Goodwill Northern Michigan’s fund development function including annual and planned giving, major gifts, grants, donor meetings and events, donor stewardship, KPI tracking, and reporting to Advancement Committee of the Board of Directors. This is a key role in the success of the Goodwill organization and its ability to support the needs of our community.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, the ability and desire to work with internal and external stakeholders to meet fund development goals, the ability to manage multiple requests in a dynamic environment, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. A bachelor’s degree is a must and CFRE designation is a bonus. The Fund Development Director will provide steady, positive management as we build and grow a sustainable fund development system.

Compensation
Remuneration for this position is based on experience with a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year with bonus opportunities. We offer competitive benefits that include a retirement plan with match, group health plan, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
