Food Rescue Route Driver

Food Rescue is looking for Route Drivers to help us collect and distribute food to our neighbors in the five-county area. Food Rescue drivers are great at problem solving, they enjoy the physicality of the job, and prioritize relationship building at the pantries, stores, and farms on their routes.

  • $18.50 per hour, part time or and full time with benefits

  • Monday thru Friday from 6 am – 2:30 pm

  • All you need is a valid Michigan License with a Chauffeur credential (a quick test at the SOS).

  • CDL is NOT required.

Candidate Profile 

Our Food Rescue Route Drivers are responsible for the collection and distribution of food. They are strong multi-taskers with valid Michigan Chauffeur Licenses or CDLs, and excellent customer service skills. Reporting to the Food Rescue Manager, route drivers are responsible for performing work in a safe and professional manner, building relationships with food donors and pantries, and completing daily reports.

Schedule

  • Position may require routine travel and ability to work a flexible schedule including early morning, evening, and weekend hours.

Compensation

Food Rescue Route Drivers start at $18.50 per hour. Goodwill Northern Michigan offers benefits that include a retirement plan with match, group health plan, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
