Cook

Our Good Meals cooks are responsible for the preparation and distribution of food. They ensure quality standards in the kitchen at the Goodwill Inn, comply with local Health Department food safety and other regulations, and interact professionally and cooperatively with team members and Goodwill Inn guests.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6 am – 2:30 pm. No nights or weekends!

Compensation: Cooks start at $18 per hour with benefits.

Requirements 

• Valid Michigan Driver license with safe, clean driving record

• Serve Safe Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive trucks and other vehicles

• Sits, stands, walks, bends, stoops, and stretches throughout the day

• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted

• This position is considered a safety sensitive position and is subject to zero tolerance under the Goodwill Northern Michigan Drug Free Workplace Policy

Other Information

This position may require routine travel and the ability to work a flexible schedule including early morning, evening and weekend hours. Food Programs maintains a strict no-smoking policy while in company vehicle.
