10/20/2009 - 12/09/2009As the holidays approach, we invite you to help in spreading heartfelt warmth of the season through the Leelanau Holiday Needs program.
Leelanau Holidays Needs Program (formerly the Community Giving Program). We are pleased to continue our partnership with Toys for Tots and other community organizations, but we also need your help.
There are many ways to participate and extend the true meaning of the holidays:
* Donate Merchandise, the donation of a toy, food, new clothing such as coats, hats, gloves, boots, shoes, underwear or gift certificates create smiles, warmth and hope.
* Adopt a Family allows you to reach out and spread joy to a family. We will provide you with your “adopted” family information as quickly as possible. (please click on the link below to complete form)
*Host a donation drive at your business or group and include your clients/customers/friends and family to share your spirit and touch lives.
*Donate Financially and we will purchase additional basic need items; personal hygiene and items for teens to ensure requests are met.
Art Van Million Dollar Charity Challenge Helps Holiday Needs Program
Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan is honored to be the recipient of a $15,000 challenge grant for the Holiday Needs Programs as part of the Art Van Million Dollar Charity Challenge. Founder and Chairman of the company that bears his name, Art Van Elslander crossed the state of Michigan celebrating Art Van Furniture Stores, 50th Anniversary, by announcing $1 million dollars in challenge grants to 50 organizations supporting programs serving children as well as health and human services.
